The effects of heat and thermal management of the LEDs in our systems is paramount as performance limits are pushed further by the need to have lighter, smaller or more efficient designs. Adaptive Lighting uses computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to perform LED chip and package thermal simulation along with thermal analysis of electronics and connected mechanical components. We also conduct full system thermal performance analysis in order to select the ideal heatsink solution for convection cooling, forced air cooling or water cooling solutions. This information allows us to design products with the highest achievable optical intensities with improved reliability and system optimisation.
